About Me

Born in Seremban, Malaysia, Lynette Goh learned the keyboard at a young age of 5. With her mom, they practised music together. Lynette learned the organ as well as the piano with training from the Yamaha Music School while in Malaysia. There, she obtained the Yamaha Grade 3 Electone Performance, the highest certificate of achievement. Through this she learned how to improvise and compose spontaneously. This was the starting point in giving her the foundation and knowledge for her future endeavours. Then this led her to further her studies at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusets, USA. At Berklee, she graduated with a Professional Music degree majoring in Jazz Composition and Arranging. Prior to and upon graduation, she has been composing whenever inspiration arises. Her inspiration includes things that happen around her, in relation to people, movies, books, etc. Besides her love for composition, currently, Lynette is also a freelance piano teacher. In her free time she devotes her life to meeting other creative people to break boundaries in artistic realms. Currently she is in the process of launching her very own production of her piano solo compositions, entitled, Personal Tales of Lynette Goh. Due to be launched in July, 2010, interested listeners can check out her website: www.lynettegohshiaomey.blogspot.com
